The course is fairly short from the tips and will have you reaching for a 3-wood or long iron off the tee on on several holes. The greens have been and continue to be the course’s only defense. There are very few “flat” greens and they are usually pretty fast. The slopes on the greens only make them feel even faster. There are some very testy pin positions to be had. There are several reachable par 4s on the course if you know the right line. There is water throughout the course and comes into play on several tee shots. They have updated their cart fleet and now have GPS. There are times when the course’s conditions could be much much better. I have seen the conditions range from poor to fair. But for the price it’s very hard to complain. This is definitely one of the premiere course’s in town to take your juniors out to, as their pricing is exceptional. The downside to the great pricing is that they can get rather busy with afternoon walkers.
The proshop is smallish but they have pretty much everything you would need for your outing. The restaurant has decent food and has good views of the course. They have a large function room and hold many wedding receptions onsite.
The practice facilities are sufficient to warm up and get some light practice in. The practice green is located nicely about 20 yards from the first tee and is indicative of how the greens on the course are playing. The driving range is rather odd in that you hit uphill. Not that it affects anything just looks and feels a bit strange.
I would of loved to see the course in prime condition ready to hold tour events, because the layout is actually really fun. Several risk reward holes and a shortened length means you need to pick your clubs wisely. But at least in the past 7 or so years, the course has been relegated to the lower echelon of courses in San Antonio. That being said for the price you can’t find better. Typically in this price range you will get something along the lines of Mission Del Lago.

Course was in ok shape. Needed some landscaping and some water. Greens were in good shape. For the price, this is not a bad little track at all. Has some challenging shots. Pace of play was not great. Staff seemed to be friendly. For the money I would consider playing it again.

One of the best courses in San Antonio. Entire course is usually in excellent shape. Great pace of play. This is a challenging course that will test your golf skills. One of the top 10 courses in SA. A very reasonably priced course.

Great course. Tough greens with the wind. It was like putting on concrete. Lots of fun, with easy fairways to hit.

GPS in the carts were wonderful. Distance of the holes are deceiving. Front nine was pretty sandy, i think they had just reseeded, back nine was much nicer. I would play it again. Played in March of 2009
